Volume 3:
Manual of Assisted Reproductive Technologies and Laboratory Sciences is a publication of Indian Fertility Society (IFS). It is a four-volume comprehensive compendium of three hundred and eighteen chapters. Volume 3—Clinical Embryology and Andrology—is wholly dedicated to laboratory practice in assisted reproductive technology (ART) and includes seven sections and forty-eight chapters. For a successful outcome, it is necessary to have good viable gametes. The first section, Andrology, extensively discusses evaluation techniques of male gametes. The importance of male gamete assessment is further addressed in the evaluation of male factor and ART (Male) procedures. Section two details laboratory embryology aspects. Laboratory management is synonymous with Quality Management—Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC)—which impacts good laboratory practice. Clinical cryobiology (CC) has always been integral to ART treatment. The panel of editors has ensured that this volume builds the reader’s knowledge in a stepwise manner.

Volume 4—Clinical and Laboratory Algorithms—includes two sections: Laboratory Algorithms (sixty chapters) and “Clinical Algorithms for ART Clinics” (forty-six chapters). The Laboratory Algorithms section provides quick, easy-to-follow reference guides on laboratory-related topics. Topics discussed in Volume 3 have been transformed into algorithms to assist troubleshooting. Similarly, day-to-day clinical issues experienced across multiple clinical areas are addressed in the Clinical Algorithms section.
